Lets Just Say...

Lets just say that you (and by you I mean whomever is reading this at the moment) are a single 25 year old female. And lets say that you desperately need a vacation or trip. Where would you go and what would you do if you were a woman travelling alone? Lets also just say that you need to go on this trip SOON, like within weeks hopefully. Come on folks, I need your ideas. Lets hear them...

You know what I ALWAYS wanted to do? Just go to the airport and see what the next flight out was and take it! Or . . .

1. Drive through the Gallatin National Forest and stop in the little towns along the way. What a peaceful adventure.

2. San Fran last year at this time was sooooo much fun! Go and visit some relatives - - yep, I'm thinking Roy and Catherine - - and visit the farmers market and the beach and Cheesecake Factory in downtown San Fran. Take a ferry ride over to whatsthatplacecalled while you're there and then visit the world's ONLY Pez museum (it'll take at least 10 minutes so plan ahead!)

3. Dig in the garden! Yep, this surprisingly can be a relaxing vacation. See, you sleep in then you dig around in the garden then you treat yourself to a long bath and then a matinee! After that you go to the greasiest burger joint you know and fill up on onion rings! Yummmmmm.

4. Visit you own hometown??? Get a room in downtown SLC and do everything you never thought you'd want to do like ride the trax and go to the Tracey Bird thingy and sit in the City Center (by the library) and watch people. You could even pretend to be from France and ask for directions!!! Sometimes you don't have to go far - - just not being at home and doing something different is a nice change. I'm sure your Aunt and Uncle would take you out to dinner too!!!

5. Find out where your favorite group has a concert and go to their concert! You've got to be sure to buy a t-shirt and act like a groupie though.

6. I always wondered about those single cruise things. My friend went on a few trips and had a good time but hummmmm.

Well, that's all I got for now! Just be sure to go with a good attitude, be safe and remember you're loved! A. Becky

Becky, good ideas! I vote for SF!

I would want to go to a book reading destination - somewhere warm where you could sink toes into the sand - Hawaii (and you've got a cousin there!)

Well you could just happen to drop by a cute little house in Nibley and pick up these three cute girls and then you would not have to go on a trip by yourself...and then maybe you could drive to Vegas and party a bit :-)

If I were 25 and single and needed to go, like soon, I think that is just what I would do. Get some good music for my car, Missy Higgins, Tom Petty, The Greatful Dead, etc., and drive. Just keep going until I felt it was time to stop. Maybe get a cute little hotel room in some cute little town and spend a day in bed writing or reading. Take a nice long bath, fall asleep watchin music videos on cable. Then drive some more... Oh, and don't forget to take a camera to capture all the wonderful things you happen along on your way to nowhere in particular. That's what I would do... for sure.
