Moving Out

Well its official, I no longer have my own place. I moved my essentials over to my parents basement about a week ago, where I will be temporarily residing. I have been spending my spare time packing up the stuff I wont be using while at my folks house and cleaning my apartment. Yesterday I turned the keys to the apartment into the landlord. I am excited about starting down a new path in my life, but I couldn't help being just a little sad about it too. That little one room apartment was the first place I've ever lived on my very own. It was a good little apartment.

Poll, via Kim
Four jobs I have had in my life:
1. Baskin Robins - I was an ice cream scooper extraordinaire (and an unofficial taste tester)
2. A.A. Hudson & Associates - This was a land surveying company where I did research and office work and stuff
3. K-Mart - I started as a cashier but moved up the proverbial ladder to be a "walker" basically I walked around the store and helped customers, it was great exercise!
4. Ensign Imports - This is the Toyota/Honda dealership where I am a warranty clerk
Four movies I would (or have) watched over and over:
Note: I love movies, this answer might change on a regular basis but here they are for today:
1. Pulp Fiction
2. The Princess Bride
3. The Godfather (parts 1 and 2...though I have tried, I've never stayed awake all the way through 3)
4. August Rush
Four places I have lived:
1. Bountiful, Utah
2. South Jordan, Utah
3. Cornish, Utah
4. Logan, Utah
Four of my favorite foods:
1. Sheilas Casserole (its basically a homemade mac and cheese sort of a dish, with a twist I suppose, yummy!)
2. Ice Cream (Baskin Robins is the best)
3. Meat...just kidding, I'm vegetarian! NOT meat!!
4. pretend Sushi (see, cause I'm vegetarian and don't eat fish...but i love, love, love a vegetarian roll...or tempura...mmm or those soy bean things, what are they called? I googled it, they're called edamame. Delicious!!)
Four places I'd rather be right now:
1. On a beach by the ocean
2. In bed
3. Somewhere warm
4.
Four things I am looking forward to in 2008:
1. I don't know
2. I still don't know
3. got nothing
4. nope, haven't figured it out yet
Four friends I tag:
1. Kayleen and/or Jared

I just learned something very fun (although maybe a little OCD too) from Stephs blog and I thought I would put the link here so I can play with it later too (you know, when I am bored at work and think to myself 'what can I do to take a break from work for a min? Oh man, if only I could remember that one web site. Then I could play on it for a few...')
Anyway, here it is:

Don't be Afraid to Dream
A few days ago (or maybe longer), our wonderful little Steph put a post on her blog about some of her dreams for the future. I loved it, and it made me think of a somewhat profound thought (profound, at least, in my simple way of thinking). Are you ready for it??
DREAM!!!
What is it going to hurt? I think, and I know it sounds silly, but I think, that for quiet some time now I have been just a little bit afraid to dream. Those damn what ifs get in the way!! What if I try and fail? What if I'm not as good as I should be?? What if it hurts my little heart and soul when I aim high and fall short??? I've been through a lot in my life lately and I'm afraid of hurting more than I already do. But Stephie got me thinking (the wonderful girl that she is, I LOVE her!!) that if I don't dream than I'm just holding my own self back. I don't necessarily have to go for the dream right now, I can take baby steps away from this irrational fear of mine, but at least dream the dream. That way I can try when I am ready...or not, but its not going to hurt anything to think about it in the mean time

Book Tag
My dear cousin Nicole tagged me with a "book tag" and seeing as I am ready for a new post on my blog but haven't known what to write about, I am going to do it...Steph has tagged me before too and I haven't ever done them, maybe I'll follow through with those ones in a day or so...no promises though, we'll just have to see.
The book tag rules are easier than it seems most tags are, I am supposed to grab the nearest book, turn to page 123 and post the fifth sentence. Piece of cake right? I don't even need to think of anything profound or deep to say!! tee hee! ok, this might be interesting since I'm at work and I'm not sure that anybody reading my little blog wants to learn something from a Toyota or Honda Warranty Manual...maybe I'll find something else around here...hmmm...there's a phone book...I'll keep looking. Oh! The Lost and Found was a success! I found a book called Lincoln A Life of Purpose and Power by Richard Carwardine. Here is what it says:
To applause he said, "The good old maxims of the Bible are applicable, and truly applicable to human affairs, and in this as in other things, we may say here that he who is not for us is against us; he who gathereth not with us scattereth."
There now, doesn't everyone feel like they learned and grew from that little excerpt?? Well I thought it was fun and I think that this silly little tag should be continued on by Steph, and Jen, and Kjerstin. Come on guys its an easy one! ok, actually I can't blame you if you don't do it, like I said before this is the first one I've actually completed, but if you feel like it...well, then go for it! ta ta for today blogging world :)
